One of my best and most enjoyable experiences. 2013 - road to desegregationThe award-winning documentary 'Road to Desegregation' was produced. It aired on TV in Savannah as well. The documentary was about the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. Sylvia Alls and Nicole Lowery were also producers and creators on the documentary. 2014 - modeling and musicThis year Kareem McMichael did a lot of modeling and music. Signed a acting agency contract with East Coast Talent Agency, which he left in 2018. His song 'Too Much' debuted on Q105.3 in November 2014. https://www.soundcloud.com/karmac-rex 2015 - SSU Indie film festival and humboldt international film festivalIn 2015 Kareem McMichael, Tracy Haynes, and Tina Brown kicked off the SSU Indie Film Festival. That some year Kareem McMichael got his first film festival acceptance and award for the documentary 'Road to Desegregation' at the Humboldt International Film Festival. 2016 - Best friendsThe award-winning film Best Friends was one of Kareem McMichael's most successful films of the decade. Winning two awards and screened over the USA in 9 film festivals. 2017 - Georgia film academy and feed the hungryAfter Hurricane Matthew hit the east coast in 2016 work started on the documentary 'Feed the Hungry'. The documentary was directed by Will Martin and is about the life and the organization Feed the Hungry started by now GA State Representative Carl Gilliard and his family. The documentary when on to receive huge recognition in many film festivals and House Resolution 661 recognized the Georgia Film Academy and there work on the Savannah Feed the Hungry documentary. http://www.legis.ga.gov/Legislation/20172018/169166.pdf 2018 - cultural affairs commissioner and 'mlk jr. blvd'Kareem McMichael was appointed to the Cultural Affairs Commission by Savannah City Council. The CULTURAL AFFAIRS COMMISSION has eighteen (18) members appointed to three (3) year terms by City stating in 2018. The short film 'MLK JR. The passing of my granddad hit hard but also honoring his life, legacy, and spirit gives me some comfort that he lives on.
